7 Wonders of the World

The Great Pyramids
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Colossus of Rhodes
Olympian Zeus
Lighthouse of Pharos
The seven ancient wonders of the world. What great imaginations the people had in those days. The sky was the limit. They thought outside the box. There was no limit to their thinking or their capabilities. These are no more than beautiful landmarks of the time commemorating the peoples heroe or leader of the time. Have we gotten so out of touch with the people around us that we have no need of leaving legacies or beautiful works of art or national monuments? Or is it that we no longer care enough about each other to have heroes or leaders we admire enough to do what they did or have we forgotten to instill in our youth the pride in accomplishments of great individuals, or of each other? These ancient civilizations did not have the capabilities of nowadays and yet the biggest and most beautiful and long lasting monuments were built by hand and have withstood the test of time. Trivial things occupy our time and thinking way too much. And here I sit typing on a keyboard sending signals wirelessly into space, watching tv wirelessly, talking on a wireless cellphone, listening to wireless radio music on wireless speakers....see what I mean. Technology has totally changed the way we do everything and about how we think of everything. What will future generations see and think of what we have done and how we have show appreciation for others . The reason such great monuments over time have been erected, is because the people were united in living and their way of thinking and their appreciation. Wonder what the seven wonders of the world are now:
internet
cellphones
wireless anything
Eiffel Tower
space station
Pyramids of Giza
The Great wall of China
What are your votes for the current 7 wonders of the world?
